I had the Duel Core Optimizer still loaded from having my 4800+ installed and it didn't like the Quad Core :) Uninstalling it solved the BSOD issue and system running stable.By USB power not adequate, voltage drops during programming. I tried that. Source

After all values were set correct I saved the EEPROM via AVR Studio 4 menu->Debug->Up/Download Memory saving the EEPROM area (1024bytes). Everything works ok except EEPROM programming. I guess I could try 4800 or 2400 too...What speed do other programmers communicate at? There was nothing wrong with the XFX cards, there were no issues when installed on other mother boards.

  1. When I click "Program" button in EEPROM section it writes data from file to MCU, states that write was OK, and then verifies EEPROM content and finds that values from EEPROM
  2. It's very frustrating because upon having updates to software both Microsoft and 3rd party I cannot simply do a Restart after installing or updating but must cancel and do a hard
  3. As I wrote read/write during code execution works OK.

Below is my parameters using the AVRONE. This was not the first time I've updated a motherboard BIOS, and it was a last ditch attempt to solve a problem. The last XFX we tried had a burn in of 160hrs with no issues before installing it on the Striker, it lasted 58.2hrs before the Striker shorted out destroying the XFX ELF file 'default_v2.elf' successfully programmed.

But it makes no difference if it's checked or not - same error occurs :? Unless the Motherboard has a port or connection for flashing a BIOS, My knowledge says the solution is a new Motherboard. To minimize complexity I want to put everything (Fuse, lock, eeprom and flash) into an .elf file for each of the two AVRs.
