I was just testing for permissions problems when I granted those rights. That was valid at that time and it is still valid if you are still using these versions. In my case, I installed VWD Beta 2 BUT did not install SQL Express. worked for me! I simply made ASPNET user member of Administrators .. Application Lifecycle> Running a Business Sales / Marketing Collaboration / Beta Testing Work Issues Design and Architecture ASP.NET JavaScript C / C++ / MFC> ATL / WTL / STL Managed C++/CLI If that account does not have permission to that folder, or if the folder does not physically exist where expected, then IIS will report, correctly, ythat it can't find the path.
