Don't mess around to much with your computer unless you are ready to face the consequences. Bear in mind that Windows XP needs lots of disk space to store its swap file (code that temporarily doesn't fit in memory), hibernation files, temporary files, directory entries etc. It says I need uncompressed hard drive, I have probably compressed this computer multiple times over the past few years. The whole idea of the forum is that everyone can see the solutions to problems.
Is there something I haven't installed ?? The How-To Geek has an article here describing how to tweak it. It does not delete any files but it compresses them to free up disk space. Sorry, there was a problem flagging this post.
I am not one to recommend deleting any files unless a backup has been preformed and you are sure of what you're deleting.
