I have done it before and it works because it carefully deletes Windows and reinstalls everything. If you are using RAID, did you try it without raid?Click to expand... how typical of a M$ product. you dont need to format the drive, simply delete C:\Windows and C:\ProgramFiles so windows start fresh. Help! Went into BIOS setup, pressed F9 (restore defaults - just in case) and it worked. don't know what else to do (other than reformatting, which i really don't want to do). But I decided to give it one more shot, this time unplugging all the other hard drives. I'd say it was heat, but it would be at different times as the installations progressed.
